The choice of vehicle make and model, and accessories to be fitted, is normally a matter of agency preference according to operational requirements and subject to any relevant existing Government policies. However, the selection is restricted to those vehicles available under State contracts, unless operational reasons dictate an exception.
When selecting a vehicle it is important to realise that the lease charge will have a component that reflects the expected sale price (“residual value”) of the vehicle. There are a number of factors, which affect the potential sale price of a vehicle including make, model, transmission, accessories, colour and fuel type.
A list of makes and models available under State Contract can be obtained from your nominated Fleet Manager.
