Vehicle registration is arranged by the dealer when an order for a new vehicle is placed by a fleet manager. The fleet manager should inform the dealer as to where the vehicle is to be delivered and what type of registration plate is required, whether government (red plate) or private (blue plate).
VicFleet manages registration renewal for all vehicles under its leasing facility to a common expiry date of 1 August. New registration labels for vehicles with private plates are provided annually by VicFleet and should be affixed to vehicles before 1 August.
Red-plated vehicles do not require a registration label to be affixed.
